The Faculty offers trainings on three levels (preparatory, college and university) in five different forms in numerous courses. Besides education, the Faculty also hosts a variety of national meetings and music competitions. These national meetings are organised on a regular basis as a part of the program of Hungarian  higher education of music. Annual meetings are: Bárdos Symposium, Brass Meeting, a piano courses and competition, Bassonist's Meeting, Flutists' Meeting, Meeting of Clarinet Players.

 

The Faculty is an important musical center of the region. Its ensembles give several concerts yearly and its concert hall offers an excellent opportunity also for non-student performers, mainly for solo-, chamber- and choral concerts. These are important events in the musical life of  Debrecen.

 

The Faculty is located at the main university campus incorporating the central offices of the university, as well as buildings of natural, humanistic and medical sciences, numerous dormitories, a beautiful  Botanic Garden  and sport/recreation facilities.
