Traditional and Modern Architecture
On the 8th of February an exhibition titled "Sketches, dreams and outlines"opened in the Kölcsey Centre from the works of the University of Debrecen’s architecture students.
During the show they present unique creations which are equally rich in forms and colours and also carry an artistic value. The students present the architectural philosophy of a new architectural school called Borderline Architecture linked to the name of Marcel Ferencz and Andor Wesselényi-Garay. The installation of the Hungarian Pavilon, which will be found on the International Venice Architecture Biennale opening this August, can also be linked to the name of the two professors of the University of Debrecen’s Architect Department.
"Students of the university set their imagination free, and created buildings beyond ordinary, suprizing structures and modern space-connections. All of these innovations can change the way we think about people, space and home" – said Marcel Ferencz, head of the University of Debrecen’s Architecture Department.
The exhibition titled "Sketches, dreams and outlines" is opened until the 19th of February at the Kölcsey Centre.
