Preparatory Programmes 2011-12

 

Basic Medicine Course (Pre-Medical Course) I-II

A one-year premedical (Basic Medicine) course is recommended for those not having enough knowledge in biology, physics and chemistry from high school. In addition to these subjects, courses in English, Latin and Hungarian are also included.

International Foundation Year

The Foundation Year programme is recommended for applicants who do not have sufficient knowledge in biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics or in any of these subjects according to Hungarian standards, and need further studies and a period of acclimatization before entering their chosen program. In addition to these basic scientific subjects, courses in professional English and Hungarian language are also included in the program.
 
Language of instruction: English
Program duration: 2 semesters
Admission requirements: secondary school certificate

Intensive Foundation Semester (January-June)

The Foundation Year programme is recommended for applicants who do not have sufficient knowledge in biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics or in any of these subjects according to Hungarian standards, and need further studies and a period of acclimatization before entering their chosen program. The courses of the IFS correspond to the courses of the International Foundation Year but the program is more intensive. Students successfully finishing the Intensive Foundatuion Semester programme have guaranteed admission into any engineering or science programme.

Classical Instrument* and Voice Studies

The objective of the programme is to prepare students for the requirements of entry tests to Hungarian higher education institutions. Besides systematizing their already acquired musical knowledge and experience they can improve their musical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Programme duration: 2 semesters (2x15 weeks)
