Applications to universities in 2012

According to recent national statistics, 109 000 students have submitted their applications to higher education institutions, a decrease in numbers compered to last year’s by 32 000.
The Ministry of Education announced that this year, 71 000 students have applied to higher education via the electronic system, while 38 000 have submitted their applications forms on paper. The deadline for submission has been postponed to the 24th February this year.
The evaluation of the applications that arrived via mail and via electronic sources has not yet been finished. The final data and statistics on the applications submitted, the number of institutions targeted and the breakdown of applications will be announced in mid April.
