  • Description: The objective of the program is reduce the immense social and economic burden of brain disorders. The strategic objective of the project is to strengthen the already existing neuroscience research groups at universities and research institutions and to develop the relationship between the academy and the industry. We want to realize these objectives by providing modern research technologies, introducing new techniques, tools, and approaches, keeping the best researchers by means of guaranteeing optimal research conditions, facilitating the independent work of talented young scholars, and by increasingly involving university students and those in the postgraduate programs in brain research. The project is based on the collaboration of ten institutions in a consortium, the coordinator (consortium leader) is the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The University of Debrecen participates with 12 research groups.
